One year after the keel laying ceremony of Benetti B.Yond 40M (BXL002), the project has reached another major milestone: the completion of the yacht’s 40-metre hull.
The keel laying ceremony marked the beginning of the physical construction phase, when the first steel sections of the future yacht were assembled and a commemorative coin was welded into the structure in keeping with a centuries-old shipbuilding tradition.
Since then, the project has progressed steadily under the ongoing supervision of Jonacor Yachts, which is providing Construction Management services on behalf of the client. The company’s technical team continues to monitor the build through regular inspections, progress reviews and direct coordination with the shipyard.
Last week, Alexey Iov, CEO and Chief Engineer of Jonacor Yachts, carried out an on-site inspection of the completed hull and reviewed the next stages of construction together with the shipyard team.
For Jonacor Yachts, Construction Management involves continuous oversight of the project throughout each key phase of the build. This includes monitoring construction progress, reviewing technical details, identifying issues at an early stage, coordinating decisions with the shipyard and representing the client’s interests throughout the process.
The completion of the hull marks a significant transition in the construction of Benetti B.Yond 40M (BXL002). The yacht will now move into the next phases of the build, including further technical installation, outfitting and systems integration.
Jonacor Yachts will continue to follow and supervise the project through the upcoming stages, maintaining close coordination with Benetti until delivery to the owner.
